Smartnotebook Start Up and Examples

This next section is very important, it shows you in a very explict manner how to use this software. Not only can you verify that the software works but you gain valuable insight into how it should work. Then you will be in a good position to evaluate whether this software is useful for your situation or not.

Note: I have included snapshots of the various screens so you can still follow the examples without having to download/run anything.

First, I hope you already downloaded both examples tar file from the download page. Untar the examples file if your browser has not already done so.

	> \rm -rf snb-v-examples1 snb-v5.1.3-examples2
	> tar xvf snb-v-examples1.tar
	> tar xvf snb-v-examples2.tar
	> cd snb-v-examples1
	> ls
	> cd snb-v-examples2
	> ls

At this point you will notice a data directory and several test cases which point out important aspects of smartnotebook. As a minimum, please try out the first two examples before working with your own data. If you really want to see what the software is capable of, you will want to try all the examples.
